Hello all
I encountered a strange behavior when editing translated nodes.
I have a Drupal 6 web site that has English and Hebrew translations
Here is the problem Scenario:
I create a node in English
I set the menu link of the node to an English menu
I save the node and it appears correctly as defined
I select translate and enter the node information in Hebrew
I set the link of the Hebrew version of the node to a Hebrew menu
I save the node and it appears correctly
All is good and both the Hebrew version and English version appears in their correct places on the right menu
Here is the thing:
Every time I edit the Hebrew version, for some reason the menu link resets to the English link of the original English node. I need to manually set the menu link every time I enter edit node. This is very frustrating
To summarize:
If I create an English version first set a menu link to an English menu and then translate the node to Hebrew every time I edit the Hebrew node the menu link is automatically set back to the English one and I need to manually set it back to the Hebrew menu
I tested this behavior and if I create the node in Hebrew first and then translate it to English when I edit the English version of the node the menu link is automatically set to Hebrew and I need to set it back to English manually
Am I missing a setting parameter I need to set? or is this some kind of bug?
I searched for hints on whats may be the cause of this behavior but didn't find any clue.
I would appreciate it if some one could point me in the right direction :)
Thank you in advance
Ofir.
